Restoration and Repairs
The Musicentre's own workshop and approved external subcontractors are equipped to take on any job ranging from the simplest preventative maintenance, to adjusting instruments to a player's requirements, to fitting transducer systems, re-profiling necks, replacing finger boards, repairs to decorative embellishments, all the way to a complete and total restoration of rare, exotic and expensive vintage instruments. Our resident luthier, Mike Cameron, who has been with the Musicentre for some 34 years, has a wealth of experience in building and repairing the entire spectrum of fretted instruments and has an understanding, developed from a lifetime's association with woods and the other natural and man made materials used in the construction of all musical instruments, which enables us to effectively repair or restore any instrument no matter what the condition. As our workshop is an integral part of the store, we are able to always make any adjustments you may need performed on your instrument - so be confident that whatever you need doing to your guitar, The Musicentre can do it for you.
