The guys at Gibson ain't gonna like this but ...

I have been playing guitar for 31 years and in my honest opinion the Vintage VS6 plays BETTER than all the Gibson SG Standards I have laid my fingers on. I also feel it is better weighted and more comfortable to play than both the Gibson SG Standard and the Epiphone G-400 SG Custom 3 Pickup (which I also used to own, and which weighed a tonne by the end of a busy night).

The VS6 is probably my favourite out of all the electric guitars I have ever played. It does not have quite the same soft, low action playability of a Fender Squier Telecaster or a Vintage Telecaster but the action is still great and I prefer its gutsy tone. (By the way, in my opinion the Epiphone G-400 SG Custom 3 Pickup sounds spongy, muffled and indistinct compare to the VS6.)

Sorry Gibson but this British beast tramples all over the SG's status and gobbles up the G-400 for breakfast. This is a no-nonsense guitar player's guitar. 10 out of 10! I love it! (Posted on 12/10/11)

Originally got this guitar as a back up, but after playing for a week this is now my main instrument, great quality and for the price! will definatly be looking into getting another Vintage in the near future. (Posted on 11/16/10)
